Anyone who has ever spent some time browsing sites on the Internet will recognize the benefits of removing adware and spyware, at least once they download free spyware adware remove tools and use them. These pesky malware programs are used by owners of Internet sites to track your cyber activities. They know that once you have visited a web site, it's a lot easier to keep hold of you than it is to find some other new customer. So, they bombard you with spam emails in the hope of drawing you back to their site to visit again and hopefully pay for their services and products.
It's a clever marketing ploy but you can fool some of the people some of the time but not all the people all the time; stay ahead of this game and download free spyware adware remove tools to help avoid this invasion of your privacy.
There are many sites from which to download spyware and adware removal programs, and several of the products are available without charge. Let's look at a few of the best and most popular.
Ad-aware SE Personal
You can download this free tool for use with any Windows operating system. It knows that adware and spyware are hidden files that lurk somewhere on your computer's hard drive. These spyware and adware removal tools also provide you at least some idea of the security threat you face so you have insider knowledge about how to protect your computer in the future. Once they are located using Ad-aware, it takes just a single mouse click to remove the them altogether. This is an incredibly popular tool for use on personal computers.
Spybot
Spybot is also a free spyware and adware removal tool which goes one step further than Ad-aware, searching out deleting it all in one move. This product is very popular, highly effective and will catch many hidden files that other such tools let slip through.
Most free spyware and adware removal tools do their work after your computer's system has already been infected, and therefore your personal Internet activity history has since been passed on to those collecting your Internet usage data. However, some of these tools are fortunately a little more proactive than that.
SpywareBlaster and XP-AntiSpy
These two free downloadable spyware and adware removal tools work proactively to block uninvited files before they actually get into your computer's system. Often, you will not know that adware and spyware are running in the background until your computer's operating system begins to slow to a crawl. Many people consider this more than just a nuisance; it's also a privacy and/or security concern.
X-AntiSpy also zaps these programs before they do you harm or slow down your computer. It's a quick, effective download; similar spyware or adware remove tools (certainly those offered without charge) don't come much better. After the program runs, you will be presented with an action list. The removal of the unwanted files can be done automatically or, if you know what some of these programs are, you can re-install them after the clean up has been completed.

Free Spyware And Adware Removal Programs
Pc Virus Removal
Removing a virus from your PC manually can be one the hardest kind of computer repairs. Luckily there are many different software programs out there that can help. To remove a virus you will need a combination of Virus software, Spyware software and a startup manager piece of software. These three are still not enough. You need to know the right process in which to run the software pieces to remove the PC virus.
The good news is we have the process right here to repair your computer. We will provide a few free programs but recommend you actually go out and purchase a good all in one security suit. The first thing is to boot normal. Once logged in you will need to turn off the system restore. The reason for this is because many viruses will hide in this area. Now reboot and boot into safe mode with networking.
Once you are booted into safe mode with networking you will need to download, the free AVG anti virus, Spybot Search and destroy, highjackThis, and ad-aware. Install all programs and then update them. Now download CCleaner, install and run. Remove all those junk temp files. Now run ad-aware and Spybot. Both programs can run at the same time. Once they finish reboot normal, if you were asked to run Spybot again on boot then let it run. Now run AVG and do a full scan.
One AVG has finished then reboot and run highjack this. Remove any entries that you know to be bad. Be careful and only remove the known bad entries because if you remove something that is needed you will be hosed.
If you are unsure about any of what was said here then your better off having a pro remove the virus. This can be done for as little as $89 dollars on places like www.onlinecomputerrepair.org. We recommend you purchase anti-virus software as well because the fact you were infected in the first place tells me you were not protected enough.

Best Cell Phone Ring Tones
Forget the days of hearing that generic cell phone ring that made you anxiously reach into your purse and fumble for your phone. In today's age of individualization, no one has reason to suffer through homogenous rings with the abundant supply of websites and providers that offer ringtones that can personalize your otherwise ordinary cell phone. Have a song that you love to listen to? Hop online and search for that specific tune and chances are you'll find a ringtone to go with it. Then, customize the ringtone to play only the part you want to hear when friends call - or, assign a specific ringtone to one particular person. The options are endless.
There are only a few criteria to consider when choosing what website to download ringtones from. First, be sure that your cell phone is compatible with the ringtone you've chosen. Verizon users, for example, can be assured that any tune downloaded from Verizon's website will work with their phone. If you're considering using any other website or service, be sure to check and see that your phone will be capable of receiving and playing your ringtone. Secondly, be sure that sound quality is acceptable. Most websites will allow you to preview a ringtone before making a purchase. Thirdly, make sure that you understand how and when you will be charged for your purchase. Most major service providers will add any ringtone purchases to your next month's bill. Once you have these three bases covered, hop online and get ready to jazz up your cell phone!
SouthernLINC
SouthernLINC Wireless offers a broad range of ringtones, wallpapers, calltones and applications. Many users will find that in order to download much of the offered content, they will need to perform a software upgrade on their phones; this is easily accomplished by visiting Motorola's website and installing the necessary upgrades for the relevant model phone. Like other providers, SouthernLINC allows subscribers to choose from excerpted music, polyphonic rings, celebrity voices and unique sounds for ringtones. Ringtones cost $1.99 for the one-time download fee and are yours to keep for an unlimited amount of time. For phones that are capable of supporting digital content, SouthernLINC offers a plethora of applications that are unique amongst its competitors. Users can choose from financial solutions content, navigation and direction software, sports & entertainment platforms, and news & weather sources, just to name a few. Browsing for content for your specific phone model is easy with SouthernLINC's handy filter feature. Customers can access all available downloads by visiting the "Browser Apps" function on a mobile device or on SouthernLINC's website. Cell phone subscribers will appreciate SouthernLINC's user-friendly purchasing process. When you are ready to buy a ringtone, application, or game, you can preview your purchase, click the "go" button, enter your phone number and you're finished. Within a few minutes, you'll receive a text message with a link to the tone or application and directions for installing it onto your phone.
Sprint
Similar to SouthernLINC, Sprint Mobile also offers a variety of personalized ringtones (called ringers) and calltones through its website and cellular phones. Unlike other cellular providers, Sprint offers subscribers a free ringer for the holidays on its website. Sprint's ringer webpage, Digital Lounge, resembles any other online CD or music website with its sophisticated filter and search functions, graphical CD covers, and all of the hottest music. Sprint's genres are expansive and appeal to nearly every consumer group by including everything from "Indie Greats" to "Songs for Baby Boomers." Downloads from the Digital Lounge are $2.50 and appear on Sprint's monthly bills. The Digital Lounge offers much more than just ringers; you'll also find screensavers, themes and games. One unique feature in the Digital Lounge is the Content Manager, where subscribers can organize all of their downloads, preview audio clips of ringers and call tones, watch previews of new television shows, and resend purchases to new phones after upgrading cell phone models.
T-Mobile
T-Mobile offers subscribers a variety of ringtone options, including MegaTones, instrumental ringtones of favorite songs; HiFi Ringers, short clips of actual artist recordings; and CallerTunes, ringback tones that callers hear when calling your phone. MegaTones downloads are $1.99 each and can be downloaded by going to "t-zones" on your ringtone-capable phone and browsing the MegaTones category or by logging onto My T-Mobile. T-Mobile's HiFi Ringers are excerpts from hit songs by today's top-selling artists at $2.49 each. CallerTunes allow you to entertain your callers by playing excerpts from original artist recordings - and, you can set different CallerTunes for different people. For only $1.49 a month, you can download and store up to 15 CallerTunes; or, for $1.99 per tune, you can choose your tunes for a one-time download fee.
Verizon Wireless
Verizon also offers thousands of ringtones and ringback tones for download. Verizon calls its ringtones VZW Tones, which are available on all Get It Now enabled cellular phones or online at Verizon's website. Verizon phones and its website allow users to preview ringtones and browse by different categories (like "What's Hot" and "What's New). Ringtones are handset specific, so before purchasing a ringtone, be sure to check that your phone is compatible with your chosen tunes. When ready to purchase, users can preview ringtones, add to an online cart, and agree to have the $2.99 fee added to his/her next bill. Each ringtone is available for $2.99. Although it's tempting to search for free ringtone downloads on the plethora of ringtone websites out there, users should beware: Verizon blocks ringtones from any site other than its "Get It Now" platform from downloading to any of its phones.
AT&T (formerly Cingular Wireless)
AT&T offers subscribers the option to join the Tone Club, a service that allows you to download ringtones every month at a discount. Subscribers can choose from a 3- , 6-, or 9-pack set. This service is available as a monthly subscription that ranges from $5.99 to $9.99 per month. Charges incurred from the Tone Club appear on monthly bills. AT&T also offers a MyMEdia Club, a feature that you can add to your account that allows you to download ringtones, graphics and games from the AT&T Media Mall or directly from your phone for a monthly subscription fee that ranges from $5.99 to $14.99. To download ringtones from AT&T, first ensure that you have a compatible phone (visit the AT&T website to search for your phone and ensure that you have a model that will support the ringtones you want). For those who aren't interested in a subscription service, you can purchase ringtones a la carte for a one-time fee of $2.49; AT&T also charges for the number of kilobytes or minutes used for the download. Charges for ringtones are reflected on monthly wireless bills. AT&T customers can search for ringtones in one of three ways: online at the AT&T Wireless website, on cellular phones via Media Net (your wireless phone's version of the internet), or via text messaging. Once the ringtone is transmitted to your phone, you'll receive a series of prompts that will indicate how to save your ringtone as a default or a specific setting.
Cricket
Cricket offers countless downloads through its web browsers on all web-enabled phones, allowing Cricket users to customize their phones with the hottest games, tunes and applications around. To make buying even easier, Cricket offers a simple click and buy process on its mobile phones, allowing customers to easily purchase and install their downloads in just a few short minutes. For customers who are unsure if their phone supports downloads, be sure to visit Cricket's website and view the list of compatible phones, which include Kyocera, Motorola, Nokia and Samsung models.
Other Download Sources
Of course cell phone users aren't limited to their service providers for the latest in ringtones. Music-based websites like MTV, iTunes and Vh1 are cashing in on consumers urges to personalize their mobile phones by offering excusive ringtones, graphics and games. Vh1, for instance, offers ringtones from many of its popular shows, content that is not available through any of the major wireless carriers. In order to download content from VH1, you must be a T-Mobile, Cingular, or AT&T subscriber and have a phone that can play either polyphonic tones or digitones, depending on what you are purchasing. The good news for consumers is that they will not be charged for purchasing an application or ringtone that isn't compatible with their phone. Ringtones from VH1 are $1.99 each.
MTV and iTunes offer the latest in ringtone content by updating their websites daily. To date, Verizon, Cingular, T-Mobile and Sprint customers can purchase from the MTV mobile store. iTunes, the behemoth of all online music providers, offers an extensive library of ringtones that are only compatible with Apple's iPhone, serviced through AT&T Wireless. These ringtones are $0.99 each. iTunes allows you to create ringtones from songs in the iTunes Store or your music library. Newer arrivals to the ringtone scene include Jamster.com, Mixxer.com, Thumbplay.com, and Flycell.com, all of which provide membership/subscription plans and a huge variety of genres from which to pick. Users of all major carriers can easily be accommodated by one of these websites.

How to Fix a Computer Crash
If your computer crashes unexpectedly, everything comes to a halt. Prior to crashing your computer will likely start freezing up. This is an indication that your computer has to be fixed before it gives up completely. Fixing the computer does not need to involve replacement of the computer with a new one. Your current computer likely just needs a little attention.
Identifying the reason for crashing is essential prior to fixing the computer. The initial step is to reboot your computer. If the rebooting goes smoothly, it is apparent that you are facing a problem with your registry. If you cannot reboot instantly, then rebooting your computer in safe mode and locating a registry cleaner to fix your problem is essential.
Every file present in your registry contains a command or direction for every program and application on your computer. Registry files are the files that give your computer the instructions for what to do next. If these registry files get corrupt or misplaced, your computer fails to understand what to do. In these instances, your computer loses control, eventually leading to a crash.
At this stage the priority is to fix these registry files. In such situations it is suggested that you do not try to fix the registry yourself. Immediately find registry cleaner software and scan your computer to locate any errors. This software will identify all the missing entries or errors, restoring them right away. In many cases, your computer will be back to normal. It is recommended that you run this software once a month for best results.
Another cause of crashes is when new software is installed. If you have recently installed a new program or file, this could also be the source of the problem. You should locate the program and uninstall it. In case you are incapable of booting up your computer in normal mode, you are advised to try booting in safe mode first. If the new program is at fault, removing it should solve the problem. Obviously you would not re-install that program later on.
Most computer crashes occur due to a problem with the computer's registry files. This is the core reason for any crash. So, running registry cleaning software and eliminating all errors is essential to avoid computer crashes in the future. Subsequently, fixing the registry files will keep you from having to ask the question 'how do I fix a computer crash' again

5 Fun Free Software Sites
I started writing this column way back in 1998 and one thing rates as true today as it did ten years ago: people love free stuff online. Free software tops the list of free things they love. People particularly love free software that solves annoying little problems, offers some fun, or saves them time and effort.
If you own a PC, the following free software will help you save time, enjoy a little fun, and protect yourself and your computer too.
** EULAlyzer **
Log on to www.javacoolsoftware.com and download the "EULAlyzer" software that helps you spot troublesome language in those "End User License Agreements." You know, the software installation agreements we should all read, but normally we just click "Agree" and keep right on installing the software.
However, blindly agreeing to those EULAs means you could potentially consent to all sorts of unpleasant things, including your desktop getting assaulted by advertising "spyware" and worse. EULAlyzer helps you by analyzing virtually any EULA for trouble.
As they say on their site, "If you aren't reading the license agreements, you have no idea what you could be agreeing to."
** Want To Make A Movie? **
Ok, this software resides online instead of running on your PC. But that actually works out better because you only need a web browser to access it.
Log on to www.jumpcut.com and you can create your own cool videos to share on YouTube and other sites. No, it won't make you into a Spielberg, but it can help you get a basic video done with text overlays and more without complicated software.
A must-look website for the online video newbie.
** Fast Photo Changes **
Did you ever need to resize a digital photo or just crop it?
Did you ever need to take a huge 8 mega-pixel photo and resample it to make it work as an email attachment?
Well log on to www.irfanview.com and install the "IrfanView" software that makes these two tasks easy as 1-2-3!
Though the software takes a bare-bones approach to look and feel, it does exactly what you need to resize and resample photos and images on the fly.
** Online Flash Games **
Everybody loves video games! Ok, well, maybe not everybody, but did you know that online gaming by adults represents the fastest growing segment of the game industry?
If you love to play games online (but hate to pay for them), then log on to www.Kongregate.com. This website boasts thousands of flash games you can play right in your web browser.
Sure, some of them are a complete waste of time, but, isn't that what playing online games is all about? I guarantee you'll find at least one game to enjoy on this ever-expanding site. (I admit I got hooked on "Desktop Tower Defense.")
** Free Anti-Virus **
Log on to http://free.grisoft.com and download the free anti-virus protection. It doesn't come with any tech support, but it sure beats running your computer without any protection.
I like AVG anti-virus products because they don't seem to bog down your system the way Norton does and, in this case, you can't beat the price.

PSP Games Videos, And Software At Your Fingertips
With PSP games, you have the ability to do alot. In fact, this unit is almost like carrying around your own personal gaming computer in your pocket. When it was created, it was created to provide for the highest level of portable gaming possible. The PSP is more than just that today. It allows you to watch the latest video, download a few games to play whenever you would like to, and you can even get the latest news if you would like to. PSP game downloads offer you the flexibility of being able to play and see whatever you want without having to go down to the video store and paying for it. The PsP also allows you to download your favorite music and much more.
When it comes down to it, PSP game downloads will allo you to do whatever you want whenever you would like to. They come programmed with the ability to connect to the web or to the network to allow you to download from the site. But, you can also access several communities that offer free PSP game downloads as well. You do not have to go through their network, in other words. If you would like to download free PSP games to your player, simply visit any of these websites, register with them (which seems to be a requirement) and choose the games that you would like to play.
There are also many paid memberships that you can have as well. Of course, the best PSP games are available on these locations for downloads. But, before you hand over your credit card number, make sure that you know what they have to offer. Not all of these communities offer the best availability. You can find those communities that offer more than just PSP game downloads as well. They can provide you with the latest videos, movies, trailers and much more. Another benefit to using them is the fact that you can get the latest information about what is coming out and how you can get your hands on the latest PSP downloads. I have visited a few sites that do offer free PSP games, with a wide verity to choose from. See the above link to find one site I like for retrieving unlimited free PSP games for a one time membership fee.
Keep coming back as I will be posting more information on products and sites were you can get millions of downloads.

Are Moneymaking Ebooks Useful, or Just a Scam?
Anyone who has spent any amount of time surfing the Web has probably come across Websites that offer to show you how to earn money at home. The headlines, in large fonts, usually tout some seemingly outrageous claim, such as "High school dropout discovers secret of earning $9547 a day online." These headlines are usually followed by a long sales pitch designed to get you to buy an electronic book, or ebook, about making money.
A tremendous number of people are interested in learning how to make money on the Internet. So many, in fact, that a Google search for the phrase "make money online" yields nearly two million results. Obviously, there's a large market for books about making money. Are these books worthwhile, or are they just a scam designed to take your cash?
If you think that a $47 ebook is really going to teach you how to make thousands of dollars per day with only a few minutes' work, you're probably going to be disappointed. The figure quoted in on the seller's Web page undboubtedly represents an extreme example that probably cannot be duplicated. While many of these ebooks do suggest plans that are capable of making money, the sheer volume of people who buy them may render those methods ineffective. What works when one person does it may not work anymore when five thousand people try it. That doesn't mean that the information in any given ebook is entirely worthless; it just means that you may have to go through some trial and error in order to make it work.
Although the promises of earning a lot of money quickly are generally overstated, most of these ebooks do offer some useful information. A book that touts "five plans for success" might have one thing that works and four things that don't. Another book may promote a moneymaking method that won't work for you but might also tell you about a useful piece of software that you otherwise would not have known about. That, in turn, might lead you to something that works.
Most people who earn a living online have multiple sources of income; they don't get all of their money from just one thing. Anyone who is thinking about buying an ebook about making money should keep that in mind and not expect life-changing results from a single 60-page document. On the other hand, exposure to ideas presented in multiple books may give you ideas for something that will work for you, and that, after all, is what you're looking for in an ebook.
